Fixed Income Leaders Summit - Europe

FILS Europe took place earlier this month and TransFICC was in good company as a sponsor.

The event allowed us to discuss the benefits of combining BOTH on-premise and cloud technology, but also highlighted some industry trends:

• A technology strategy is essential - to connect to electronic venues and manage huge amounts of data in the front-, middle- and back-office
• After market volatility in March, trading firms now understand that they cannot continue to trade using the phone and chat exclusively
• ESG is starting to impact Fixed Income - at least 10 sources are available to evaluate bonds, but these providers need to be more consistent in their analysis
• Repo trading is moving towards increased automation, but the market requires a holistic approach with standardised processes and documentation

Finally, we enjoyed watching Dragons Den (because we took part a few years ago). Interesting to hear from Glimpse Markets, Exberry, BondCliQ, Auquan and IntelliBonds.
