TransFICC Expands Developer Team with Two New Hires

London – 1 February 2018. TransFICC, the specialist provider of low-latency connectivity for the fixed income and derivative markets, today announced two senior-level developer hires:

- Stephen Wood, as Senior Software Engineer. Stephen has worked in financial software engineering for 20 years, touching many disciplines from quantitative analytic tools to messaging protocols and mission-critical high-throughput low-latency systems. Working in senior technical and leading roles at Lehman Brothers, Nomura Bank, Fidessa, Bloomberg and others, he has accrued a wealth of experience in delivering software in financial markets. Prior to moving into finance, Stephen began his career in the Scientific Civil Service in Computational Fluid Dynamics, working on turbulence models and the optimisation of military aircraft performance.

- Andrey Nudko, as Senior Software Engineer. Andrey is a seasoned developer with more than 15 years of experience, predominantly in high-volume back-end systems. In his previous role at Betfair Exchange he led several projects, including building an in-house distributed journal, and a real-time data analytics platform powering smart site content. Before Betfair he worked as a capacity improvement consultant for an investment bank, and prior to that, in various roles in the finance and telecom industries. He strongly believes that great software is created by great people, and is interested in all human aspects of delivering software products.

“Our ability to attract top Developer talent ensures that we are leaders in low-latency connectivity for the Fixed Income and Derivatives markets. It also demonstrates that Developers are interested in TransFICC's innovative and agile approach to software development," said Judd Gaddie, co-founder.

"We spend a lot of time making sure that we have a good working environment for Developers, enabling them to experiment and innovate to ensure we are a market leader in capital markets connectivity. I would like to welcome Stephen and Andrey and look forward to working with them as we move towards going live with our first two clients”said Tom McKee, co-founder.

These new hires follow an investment by Illuminate Financial and Main Incubator in October last year. By expanding its team of Developers, TransFICC has increased its pace of development, as it connects to the core electronic trading venues demanded by its first two bank clients.
